Body painting artists can transform beautiful women, who make up mens’ fantasies, into horrifying looking creatures from their worst nightmares. The results are often jaw dropping and their level of skill mind blowing. Needless to say, all the women look totally freakish and horrifying.
Body painting artists can transform beautiful women, who make up mens’ fantasies, into horrifying looking creatures from their worst nightmares. The results are often jaw dropping and their level of skill mind blowing. Needless to say, all the women look totally freakish and horrifying.
The most important aspect of painting such horrifying and freakish characters is the face. It is often the first thing that capture the audiences’ attention. To create the most dramatic effects, body painting artists will focus on the use of colours around the eyes, temples, cheeks and lips.
To start with, it will be good to have a picture of a skull as a guide. Firstly, the whole face is covered with a white base. It is not difficult at all to paint a full or half-face skeleton. For a full face, you will need white and black. To accentuate bone structure, you can use black to shadow the temples, create hollow around the eyes, as well as colour the tip of the nose. Then blackened out the area around the mouth and the hollows under the cheekbones to form the lower jaw. You can paint or leave bits of white to be the teeth.
Using a bit of red, blue or green will do wonders for the half face. Firstly, draw an irregular line down the center of the face using a black pencil before you start the white base. The detailing is the same as the full skull except that one side of the face is left clean. By adding a thin edge of red to the skull side of the center line will make it look like the skin is torn off. A touch of blue or green on the “flesh” side of the line will give it a rotting effect.

The Vampire
It only requires black and white make-up for the most basic version. Lipstick can be in red or black and for those who wish to be more gory, a bit of fake blood can be used.
To get the pale face effect, you can use white base make-up or white face powder. For the best result, extend the make-up down the neck and over the ears. As vampires are known for their dramatic gazes, you can make deep sunken circles around the eyes or line them with a bit of black. To call for more attention to the eyes, just add a touch of shading under the cheekbones.
For the lips, you may leave it deathly pale, color it blood red or darken it to midnight black, depending on what sort of vampire you want. For vampires who have been on a rampage, you can add fake blood on their lips or let it drip slightly down their chins.

The Living Dead
Zombies are known as the living dead. The colours to use are blue, green, red, black and white. A tint of green, blue or white will be a good base color. Dark circles around the eyes, shadowed temples, sunken cheeks and bruises are good accents to add to the effect. You may have different variations depending on how decayed you want it to be.
